Dates to be aware of in 2022
March 15
First quarter instalment due from taxpayers who are required
to remit quarterly.
March 31
Due date for filing income tax returns for estates with a December 31
year end and trusts. Any balance owing for tax must also be paid by this date
to avoid interest charges.
April 14
To ensure your tax return is filed on time, we request that you provide us with your complete information by April 14th.
May 2
Due date for filing 2021 personal income tax returns for the majority of taxpayers. We require your signed e-file consent form to e-file your tax return. Any balance owing for tax must be paid by May 2nd to avoid interest charges. If you are self-employed and file an annual GST return,
any amounts owing for GST are due May 2nd.
June 15
Due date for filing 2021 personal income tax returns for self-employed individuals and their spouse/common-law partner. Any balance owing for tax must be paid by May 2nd to avoid interest charges. GST return is due June 15th and any amount owing for GST is due May 2nd.
